Our client was driving with the right of way when somebody turned left in front of him at an intersection. He struck his left knee on the dashboard as a result of the crash. He required steroid injections and surgery to treat the knee pain.
The insurance company argued that our client had a significant pre-accident history of knee pain before the accident, including complaints of knee pain to his doctors a few months before the crash. The insurance company offered $24,515 to settle the case and refused to pay for the surgery.
Attorney Robert Domol filed a lawsuit and prepared the case for trial. At mediation, he secured a $100,000 settlement, which covered all accident-related medical bills, including the surgery, plus additional money for pain and suffering.
