October is Crime Prevention Month

October is recognized as Crime Prevention Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about crime prevention strategies and fostering community involvement. Various organizations, law enforcement agencies and community groups participate in activities aimed at educating the public about safety measures, reporting crime and building safer neighborhoods.

Crime Stoppers is a nationwide organization that has collected millions of dollars and solved thousands of crimes.  Firm President, Attorney Michael Hupy, is the president of Milwaukee Crime Stoppers and has been a longtime community activist in Milwaukee.

“I'm proud to serve as president of Milwaukee Crime Stoppers.  I am focused on raising awareness this Crime Prevention Month so we can come together to empower our communities, reduce crime, and enhance community safety,” said Attorney Hupy.

Attorney Hupy, as a community activist, has put up reward money totaling $275,000 to help solve crime in the Milwaukee community. Over the last seven years, this reward money has been used as an incentive for people to provide authorities with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for committing crime in the Milwaukee area.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS (8477). Your call is always anonymous. If your tip leads to an arrest, you get a reward at a secret location in cash.
