Milwaukee Crime Stoppers, a nonprofit organization launched on October 15, 2019, is committed to building a safer Milwaukee by partnering with the community to fight crime. The program offers a safe, anonymous way for residents to share tips about criminal activity. Tipsters can call the anonymous hotline at 414-224-TIPS (8477), which connects to a third-party call center located out of state to protect caller identity. This setup ensures complete anonymity while allowing law enforcement to access vital information that can help solve or prevent crimes.
The program is funded through Community Development Block Grants, Asset Forfeiture Funds, and generous community contributions. It is backed by a passionate and diverse group of community leaders who share the mission of making Milwaukee safer.
Attorney Michael Hupy, President of Milwaukee Crime Stoppers, is a driving force behind the organization’s success. He has personally donated significant funds to support the fight against crime. Notably, he awarded a $25,000 reward and a $50,000 reward to tipsters who helped solve the tragic murders of a 5-year-old and a 9-year-old girl. Currently, Attorney Hupy has $135,000 in reward money remains pending—including a $100,000 reward in the Quanita “Tay” Jackson case, $25,000 in an Illinois case, and $10,000 in a Wisconsin case.
Under Attorney Hupy’s leadership, the law firm of Hupy and Abraham has donated more than $90,000 to the cause, including a recent $20,000 contribution. The firm proudly supports Milwaukee Crime Stoppers’ mission to foster collaboration between the community and law enforcement.
Milwaukee Crime Stoppers encourages anyone with information to call 414-224-TIPS (8477), submit a tip online, or use the P3 TIPS app. All tips remain anonymous, and you could be eligible for a cash reward for information that helps solve a crime.
