Every year, Hupy and Abraham, S.C. employees work together to support local organizations. This year, the employees of the firm voted, and are proud to announce they have chosen Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) as their charity focus in 2025.
The firm’s employees will work throughout the year and focus their volunteer hours, event support, donations, and more on support for the BBBS. In past years, the firm has had 100 percent employee participation, raising thousands of dollars to help the community.
Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. Their mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth and their vision is to achieve their full potential.
At Hupy and Abraham, giving back to the community is at the heart of the mission, driven by the motto, “doing well by doing good.” Charitable donations and volunteerism are fundamental to our corporate culture. Over the past few years, the firm has contributed more than $1 million to thousands of organizations. In fact, year after year, the Business Journal has recognized the firm as a Top Corporate Charitable Contributor
Hupy and Abraham's employees have already pledged over $10,000 - of their own money – in support of the organization.
In addition to financial contributions, the firm also dedicates time to community support through its robust Employee Volunteer Program. This program offers each employee 8 hours of paid volunteer time. Over the past two years, Hupy and Abraham's employees have donated more than 1,000 hours to local community organizations.
In 2025, the firm’s employees will primarily focus on volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, engaging in events, mentoring, and other initiatives to support the organization’s mission.
