Hupy and Abraham, S.C. sponsored the 14th Annual Sojourner Fashion Show at the Harley-Davidson Museum on April 3, 2017. Managing Partner Attorney Jason Abraham returned to his role as a runway model for the event. The fashion show’s efforts went to Milwaukee’s Sojourner Family Peace Center. The Peace Center is the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin. This year’s theme was “Be the Light,” based on a quote made by the center’s namesake, Sojourner Truth.
The evening began with a cocktail hour featuring a silent auction, wine pull and jewelry pull, giving attendees an opportunity to win prizes with their money going to the nonprofit. After cocktails, the event moved to the fashion show venue, where Mark Kass, editor of the Milwaukee Business Journal and friend of the Peace Center, spoke a few words along with others. Before a live auction, a message from Carmen Pitre, founder and CEO of the Peace Center, aired as she was unable to attend the night’s event.
Sojourner Family Peace Center helps men, women and children affected by domestic violence in the Milwaukee area. The center provides services to create a safe pathway away from violent situations, and helps people grow through opportunities designed to create lasting skills and changes. Over 200 volunteers work with Sojourner’s 83 employees to help almost 10,000 people annually. Hupy and Abraham, S.C. is proud to support Sojourner Family Peace Center, an organization dedicated to helping those in our community.
