Thursday, January 20, Hupy and Abraham, alongside Milwaukee basketball star Bobby Portis Jr. and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, attended the kickoff event of Feeding America’s annual PB&J Challenge. The PB&J Challenge is a program created by Feeding America that has a goal of providing children with the fuel they need to achieve maximum potential in the classroom and on the playground. Hupy and Abraham is proud to be a title sponsor of the PB&J Challenge donating $10,000 to the cause.
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin hosts this annual PB&J Challenge because peanut butter is one of the most requested food items at shelters and pantries because it’s a great source of protein and has a long shelf life. This challenge encourages donations of peanut butter throughout the month that will go toward feeding food insecure children in Wisconsin.
At the PB&J Challenge kickoff event, Bobby Portis Jr. privately hosted a group of school children for an evening of bowling at his favorite local bowling alley. Bobby additionally did a radio interview and signed autographs for children and sponsors.
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s President and CEO Patti Habeck recently joined Attorney Jason Abraham on the “Tell Them You Mean Business” podcast to educate listeners about food insecurity throughout Wisconsin, give more details about the PB&J Challenge and tell some behind-the-scenes info on what it’s like working with the Milwaukee Buck’s star, Bobby Portis, this year.
