On June 4th, 2017, Managing Partner Attorney Jason Abraham attended the Ninth Annual Andy North and Friends event. The event began with a fundraising dinner and followed with golf the next day. “Andy North and Friends” raises money and awareness for the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center.
Professional golfer Andy North, the event’s namesake, refers to the network of community leaders and sports stars coming together as his friends. Following the trend of 2016, over $1 million was raised during the course of a weekend.
UW Carbone Cancer Center is comprised of over 250 research members from 45 departments and 11 schools within the University of Wisconsin-Madison system. UW-Madison is well known for its innovative work in cancer research worldwide. UW Carbone Cancer Center strives to improve the lives of families within Wisconsin through various channels, regional affiliates and outreach sites.
This is far from the first time Hupy and Abraham, S.C. has given support for cancer research. Attorney Michael Hupy was chairman of the “MKE Experience” committee, a subset of the American Cancer Society. Earlier this year, the firm participated in a radiothon benefiting the American Family Children’s Hospital, another facility within the UW-Health system.
