The personal injury law firm of Hupy and Abraham served as a “No Shortcuts Sponsor” for the “2014 St. Marcus School Benefit Gala,” helping the school raise more than $550,000. As a leader in the Milwaukee community, the firm is dedicated to supporting educational endeavors.
The gala featured a live and silent auction as well as dinner, drinks and live music. Most notably, the auctions included Packers tickets, exotic vacations and fine dining opportunities provided by generous donors. Guests were also treated to a student-driven artistic collaboration with the “Voices of Hope” theme.
During the program, St. Marcus Lutheran School’s Superintendent Henry Tyson shared facts and stories that illustrate the profound impact of quality education. He also presented a video featuring students and faculty discussing what they like most about the school.
Current St. Marcus students greeted each guest upon arrival, showcasing their etiquette and social skills. One of the students involved in the artistic collaboration received an honor roll tie to commemorate his drastic academic improvement.
St. Marcus Lutheran School provides a highly structured education to more than 840 disadvantaged youths from K3 through 8th grade. Their students graduate fully prepared for high school and ready to excel in higher education.
Hupy and Abraham is a long-time supporter of St. Marcus Luther School. In addition to supporting last year’s gala, Attorney Michael Hupy pledged $3,900 to cover the cost of tuition for three students.
