Precipitation did not stop the runners at this year’s “Run for Justice” 5K Run/Walk at Veterans Park in Milwaukee. It was a bit damp as members of legal organizations and businesses from the area came together to participate in the event benefiting the Milwaukee Justice Center. Hupy and Abraham, S.C. continued its support of the race by sponsoring this year’s race, and had a number of employees participate in the event.
The Milwaukee Justice Center strives to provide legal aid for persons who do not qualify for government-issued services and cannot afford an attorney. A brainchild between the Milwaukee Bar Association, Marquette University Law School and Milwaukee County, the MJC has been able to help thousands of people over the years since its inception.
In September 2015, Attorney Hupy gave an additional $50,000 to the Milwaukee Justice Center. He has been behind the organization and its mission since its beginning and has been named a principal benefactor in the past.
